Alex was having a pool party at his house on Saturday afternoon to celebrate his fiftieth birthday. It was a bit cool on the way over there so we weren’t sure if we would make it into the pool, but we did when it started getting warmer!
On the way over, we stopped by the Vars garage sale and we scored big time. Ezra got a Blue Jays hat, Vero found an old Super 8 film editor/splicer and Sierra found a Harry Potter board game.
Lots of laughs were had at the birthday party. There weren’t a lot of kids, but our kids were nice enough to let us chat with our friends for the majority of the day. I enjoyed catching up with everyone, especially Holly’s mother who I haven’t seen in a few years. She also gave me the great tip of hopping into the hot tub after swimming in the pool!
