For the past five years, I’ve really gravitated to synthesizers and electronic instruments.
I particularly like the synthwave genre which is retro sounding electronic music (think: Stranger Things).
One person I really enjoyed is a French DJ by the name of Kavinsky. When I heard that he had passed away, I was drawn to the synthesizer and ended up with a tune that felt like Kavinsky (to me, anyways!).
It is definitely different stuff than my acoustic based music. What I love about music is that it should have no boundaries. If you feel excited about creating something, follow that path!
